What is Pinhole photography? Pinhole photography is when you take a picture of something but the camera doesn't really have a lens, a tiny hole replaces the lens. Light is passed through the whole to form an image in the camera. To reveal the picture that you have taken you have to put the piece of paper that your photo is on and put it in a chemical called the developer which will make the picture appear after that you put it in the fix chemical which makes the picture look clearer after that you put it into the stop chemical which I think stops all of the chemicals doing anything else to the image, finally you put the picture in some water to get the chemicals of the photo.

This image I think is a really good example of a pinhole photograph. The centre of the image is perfectly exposed and you can see exactly what is going on in the photo, you can see that there is a man sitting on a wall and the main thing in the picture is the castle. The Black loop going around the photo is the pinhole and you can tell that the pinhole is in the centre because it is focused mainly in the centre.
The history of pinhole photography. Pinhole Photography was discovered by a man in China called Mo Ti .Using the pinhole technique is one of the most authentic ways to record photographic images. The technique is based on camera obscura which is centuries old. A pinhole camera is just a lightproof box with, in the middle, a tiny little hole instead of a lens. The light works it way through the pinhole through into the box and that is how at the opposite side of the pinhole an image appears which is upside down, to flip it the right way up all you have to do is put it in a chemical called the developer after exposure to the light. However photography was invented in 1839,pinhole photography was invented in 4th century B.C, pinhole photography was mentioned in of Aristotle's articles, Scientists were consistently researching the technique of pinhole photography this started in the 13th-14th century. Scientists used Pinhole photography in order to study the eclipse of the sun and the wave-length of the light.
How to make a pinhole camera. 1) First of all you will need a simple can or tin for example a gravy or hot chocolate pot. 2) Cut three sides of a rectangle out, but make sure you only cut three of the lines so the rectangle becomes a flap. 3) Get a piece of tin foil and cut it just so that it is a little bit bigger then the rectangle you have cut out. 4) Then put the tin foil into the pot and place it over the rectangle, and make sure that there are no gaps for light to get in. 5) Then stick down the tin foil with black tape, again make sure that it is tight so that no light can get in. 6) After that put some black tape over the rectangle on the outside of the pot. Make a little tab so that it is easy to open and close when you want to create an image. 7) Then open the tab and the rectangle should be stuck to the tab so when you open it you can see the tin foil. 8) Then pierce a tiny hole with just the tip of a pin. 9) Then paint all of the inside Black including the inside of the lid and over the tin foil. 10) Finally let the paint dry and you pinhole camera is finished

I liked this image because it looks different the lighting is different and the angle of the photo is different. The texture of the photo is quite smooth also the exposure time is perfect it isn't over exposed and it isn't under exposed either, you can clearly see what is in the image and if there is anything going on in the image. Also the black ring around the image is just where the pinhole has been placed and you can clearly see where the pinhole is because of where it is focused, the pinhole must be in the middle because it is focused on the middle of the room.
